Langkirke vigslet i 1902.

The church is a so-called `long church´ consecrated in 1902. It was designed by the architect Holger Sinding-Larsen in the Art Nouveau style and constructed of grey granite with soapstone details. Frescoes and stained-glass windows by Emmanuel Vigeland were unfortunately lost to fire in 1979, when only the outer walls were left standing. The church was re-consecrated in 1984, with considerable interior adjustments.
